From tenprint scanning to image editing and data management, we bring our three assets together to fit how your agency works.

This is a biometric data processing capability we have refined as an offshoot of our core data infrastructure business. The three assets—Tenprint Scanning (SCAN MASTER), Fingerprint Image Editing (CUBI-FIPS), and Fingerprint Template Data Management—serve as a common foundation, while the operating environment, UI, and integration configurations are tailored to each agency. The fingerprint recognition and matching algorithms themselves operate by integrating commercial SDKs and external engines; the proprietary assets of this solution lie on the data and image side.

Architecture

ArchitectureLeft-to-right flow from External Assets (Original Cards, Text, Meta) → Cubiware Assets (SCAN MASTER → CUBI-FIPS → Fingerprint Template Data Management) → External Recognition Engines (Commercial SDKs, Matching Engines). Matching is delegated to external engines and the results are retrieved into data management (bi-directional flow). The core proprietary assets of this solution are the three central boxes, while the dashed boxes on both sides represent external dependencies.

SUB-SOLUTION 01

Fingerprint Template Data Management

A dedicated management subsystem that stores and retrieves fingerprint templates and metadata. Original fingerprint images are stored in a separate repository, while only the templates used for matching are indexed to ensure fast search responses. Matching itself runs on integrated commercial SDKs and external engines; this sub-solution is the data-side asset within that operation.

Encrypted Storage — Linked with KCMVP validation-target algorithms (our STRCrypt)
Metadata Search — Filters for registration date, collection context, resolution, and quality scores
Separate Storage for Original Images — Template DB is dedicated to matching indices

SUB-SOLUTION 02

Tenprint Scan & Source Data Generation · SCAN MASTER

An input phase that scans tenprint cards to convert them into standard source data. Utilizing the SCAN MASTER core engine, it performs automatic segmentation, resolution correction, and WSQ conversion before supplying the data to subsequent algorithms. This sub-solution includes SCAN MASTER's full paperless scanning features (image scanning, viewing, encryption/decryption, and quality control). The same core has also been applied to major enterprise and large-scale document digitization projects.

SUB-SOLUTION 03

CUBI-FIPS · Fingerprints Image Processing Solution

An editing tool specialized for fingerprint images. It refines fingerprint images with an image viewer, adjustments and corrections, and automated processing suggestions. Edited output follows the FBI WSQ specification, so it can feed downstream recognition and matching. CUBI-FIPS is the English product name for this sub-solution (the fingerprint image editing program).
